Let's first choose your correct level:

This is just a guide to help you choose the correct level. Choose the category that most describes your playing. If you don’t know your scales, or don’t understand certain rhythms, don’t worry, we will be teaching you these things with additional help videos along the way to allow you to fill in the gaps you have missed!

If you click into the level, we have some more details there to really make sure this is the correct level for YOU! Otherwise, CLICK HERE to find your level.

Choose your level:

Late-beginner (Level 1)

You are fairly comfortable with the first two octaves on the flute (up to the middle register B and C just above the stave).

You may or may not have started learning your first scales,
either way, they need practice.

You can play music with half, quarter, and eighth notes, but find dotted rhythms tricky and still need to work on your sense of rhythm.

This level may be for you!

Developing (Level 2)

You are playing up to the third register E and are ready to start learning the F and G too.

You have started learning your scales up to the first 2 sharps and flats (if not we will teach you!)

You are comfortable with the dotted rhythm, 16th notes, and 6/8 time signature.

This level may be for you!

Early-intermediate (Level 4)

You are comfortably playing up to the third register F and G. You may have started learning the A and Bb as well.

You learnd your scales up to the first 3 sharps and flats (if not, we will teach you!)

You are comfortable with 6/8 rhythms, 16th notes, triplets, dotted rhythms and syncopations.

This level may be for you!

Upcoming levels:

Late-developing (Level 3)

You are comfortably playing up to the third register F and G.

You started learning your scales up to the first 3 sharps and flats (if not, we will teach you!)

You are familiar with 6/8 rhythms, 16th notes, triplets, dotted rhythms and very basic syncopations.
